A lot of people I know through the photography world have something they are working towards in 2024. Leaving 2023 behind and focusing on the year ahead.
I am no different, 2024 is going to be a massive year for me in terms of "learning", all of my goals are based around what I need to learn in 2024.
There are 3 things I am going to be learning about:
1. Learn my style.
I have spent a couple of years changing styles, changing editing techniques and watching multiple YouTube videos on how to create certain looks. This year is the year I go with my style, learn my style and embed it in all of my work. It sounds like it should be simple, but the key factor from all of my research off others is time. So watch this space, this will be the year Luke Davies Media finds its style!
2. Learn more about my kit.
Photography kit makes me want to scream, honestly! But what I have learnt over the past few months is I have good kit, not just good, great kit for me! So this year is the year I embrace my kit more and learn more about the set up and control of my kit. I know it sounds like this should have happened straight away, but I have always relied on my ability to understand to shoot in manual, but I know there is way more to learn. 2024 will be the year I get the most out of my kit!
3. Learn my value.
2024 is going to be a big turning point in my media journey. For a long time I have undervalued my work, my ability and my time. This WILL be the year I learn my value and what I can offer.
All of this will take time, I don't mean time as in be patient it will take time (it will), more that I need to invest more time, more energy and focus more into these goals. If you know me personally, you will know I have had many hobbies, many addictions and many activities I have put energy into, but photography and media has been the ultimate passion, bring on 2024!!!!!
